Four years ago on July 2, my husband and I brought Reena home from China. We had just spent 3 weeks in China, finalizing our adoption. This was a monumental day for our family.
Reena was officially a US citizen as soon as our plane landed in the US. Something about Reena becoming a US citizen was very emotional for us. Our daughter was home. She was safe.
After a day of rest, Reena was officially introduced to family and friends at her grandma’s 4th of July party. This was definitely my family’s best July 4th ever.
