Did you know that tomorrow is Flag Day? On June 14, 1777, our flag was adopted as the flag of the United States. In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation that June 14 was Flag Day. It wasn’t until 1949 that President Truman signed an Act of Congress, designating June 14th of each year as National Flag Day.
Another reason I know Flag Day is June 14, because it is my wedding anniversary. And yes my bridemaids wore Royal Blue, but no, much to my very patriotic husband’s dismay, our wedding flowers were not red.
As a tribute to our flag, we thought we would share some of our patriotic favorites. Just in time for the 4th of July.
Persnickety’s Summer Celebration Lou Lou Dress for infants would be charming on the 4th of July and can be worn all season.
For the little older darlings, Persnickety’s Land of the Free Kate Top paired with Persnickety’s Summer Celebration Skirt will surely be a crowd pleaser.
