January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month, human trafficking is a global epidemic with more than 27 million men, women, and children caught in its clutches. At LaBella Flora, fighting for those who can’t fight for themselves is one of our passions. After returning from the Philippines following the adoption of her youngest daughter, our owner started our company with the sole purpose of supporting children in need globally. From Day One, LaBella Flora has committed to sharing 3% of ALL SALES with those children, totaling more than $350,000.
Want to help in our fight for those who can’t fight for themselves? Here is a great organization that is on the front lines – preventing human trafficking and restoring its victims. Destiny Rescue is an international Christian based, non-profit organization rescuing children from sexual exploitation in Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Philippines, and India. This organization has rescued more that 1,400 children since 2011. The mission of Destiny Rescue is “to rescue the sexually exploited and enslaved, restore the abused, protect the vulnerable, empower the poor and be a voice for those who can’t speak up for themselves.â€
Another great organization is Village of Hope Guatemala. LaBella Flora is a partner with Village of Hope, a unique orphanage committed to enriching the lives of the children by providing the sanctuary of a home with house parents and everything that comes with it. “The purpose of Village of Hope is to provide family, faith and a future to special needs children and vulnerable mothers in a family style setting.â€
Our owner recently visited Village of Hope, we will be sharing about her amazing trip soon. We can’t wait to tell you more about this extraordinary organization! Buying is giving at LaBella Flora Children’s Boutique.
