I believe that the best way to respect the men and women who sacrificed their life in the military is to celebrate our country and freedom, exactly what they sacrificed for. This is why we celebrate Memorial Day. One of the easiest ways to show appreciation is to wear your colors, that is, proudly wear symbols of our nation, such as the flag, an eagle, or red, white, and blue. This is a great way to celebrate because as Mark Jacobs said: “To me, clothing is a form of self-expression – there are hints about who you are in what you wear.†If you’re American and proud of it, you will have no qualms about wearing patriotic apparel, in fact, it would be part of your style. LaBella Flora has three suggestions of what your sweetpea could wear this coming Memorial Day weekend.
The first is for your tween. From the popular brand Flowers By Zoe, this maxi dress exudes American spirit. The faded screen print gives an old but proud feeling, while the jewels add just the right touch of glamour.
Want more glamour? Then pick this Ooh La La Couture dress with its sailor stripes and bold red star. Though not made of tulle like most Ooh La La skirts, it has its own merits, since it flares as she spins.
Many of you will get a chance to go swimming that weekend (it rains every year in northeast Indiana on Memorial Day, so no pool parties for us!) so a patriotic swim suit is what you’re looking for. This Kate Mack swimwear provides just the right touch of patriotism while giving off a very spring feeling, perfect for May.
